I was able to get the cookbook on 20.04 working with some of the fixes in the pull requests, but I do have one remaining problem I have not been able to figure out.

If suspend is disabled, and I spent enough time away from the pixelbook, the screen goes blank and does not return. Even killing and restarting Xorg, forcing DPMS off/on, no results.

Xrandr indicates that the display is on and at the right resolution.

Only a reboot restores the display.

I've disabled DPMS to see if that has any effect.

However manually forcing DPMS into standby, suspend, or off, still allows me to force it back to on without any issue
