Should we get rid of controlled vocab for Process Names

The idea was that we want the same process to have the same name. But I think many of the names are getting way too granular and we'll never be able to make this scale for external users.
wrt the granularity - I think it's starting to kind of undermine the point of having a standard vocabulary if we're just adding every little variation to general concepts.
I wonder if these process names should be standardized within pipelines rather than in the schema.
