An Unexpected Inquisition
16.0.8
Major Changes
- Champion enemies no longer get an arbitrary 15% damage boost. We feel that damage changes should come from named weapons or perks.
- All non-avatar starters now get perks every 4 levels like normal brothers. This change, in conjunction with lowering vet levels to 4 instead of 5, serves to eliminate the "necessity" of keeping starter brothers alive while not impacting late game power potential.
Inquisition Origin
-
Starting Flagellant now gains +10 melee skill instaed of +5 melee defense. Now has guaranteed 2 start talent in melee skill.
-
Starting Nun now gets +10 stamina, +10 melee skill, +7 hitpoints and -5 initiative, instead of +10 hitpoints and +5 melee skill. Talents are now 3/2/3 in resolve, melee skill and melee defense respectively.
-
Starting characters no longer start with 1 tier of their perk list unlocked.
-
These changes were made to make the starters more late game capable and further slot into their thematic roles. The Flagellant foregoes defense in exchange for a large health pool and strong melee attack. The Nun excels at defense and is a capable attacker, but is slow to act in combat due to the lumbering trait and inherently lower initiative.
-
The perk 'Nine Lives' will now show a symbol above the entity for as long as it has not been procced (similar to Bone Plating)
Balance
- 'Broken Net' is now categorized as a 'Crafting Material'
- Infantry Axe - Buffed stamina cost to 14 from 15 to better reflect the Infantry Axe's new role on the battlefield.
- Nerf to well tended - now has a more mild effect and lasts for much longer
Improvement
- The perk 'Nine Lives' will now show a symbol above the entity for as long as it has not been procced (similar to Bone Plating)
