How I Export Models into DXFs to PDFs

• Start with a CAD Model
• Get all of your components on a flat plane ( I do this using MFG Models)
• Under Manufacture, create a manufacturing model and align all parts to the floor
• Make a sketch and click project, project every single darn component
• Export sketch as DXF
• Import DXF into Inkscape
• Save a Inkscape Copy as a PDF
• Save an Inkscape Copy as an Inkscape SVG (so you can return to edit)

Scaling is important! Make sure to import dxf as mm if your model is in mm.
