This directory contains a modified copy of ld64-253.3, originally downloaded from http://www.opensource.apple.com/source/ld64/ld64-253.3/

Modifications
=============

Several modifications have been made, primarily so that it can be compiled with MinGW on OSX to run on win32 platforms:
- use of strlcpy implementation from libgw32c
- use of external md5 library to generate LC_UUID data
- misc changes to the file IO code to support win32
- unneeded syscalls have either been stubbed or commented out
- branch island support backported from ld64-96.5
- Making the minimum deployment target for OSX as 10.7
Most of these modifications have been made in existing code, however several new source files have been added (all new source files exist under the 'xplatform-hacks' directory). Additionally, several Makefiles have been added to allow building the code from the commandline.

All the changes done in ld code to build on mac and windows have been marked by the tag //[Adobe changes]

Building
========

To compile binaries for OSX you simply:
Build using the checked-in Xcode Project.

To compile win32 binaries you first need to install a suitable MinGW cross compiler (one can be found here http://www.mingw.org/) then:
make clean && make win

All modifications and additional files in this package are licensed under the same APSL license that the rest of the package uses.
