Battery compartment CBM would take in and hold a battery item. The loaded battery would extend the normal bionic power capacity.
Functionality
When the CBM is installed a permanent "internal battery compartment" cloth is added to the player. This is unequipable item with zero volume/weight/encumbrance.
A single light battery can be inserted in it with 100-300 kJ charge. For reference power storage mk. I has 100 kJ capacity and mk. II has 250 kJ capacity.
The inserted battery is connected to the bionic power both extending the capacity and providing its charge for bionic use.
When player does something that consumes bionic power then the battery is drained before the normal bionic power.
If normal bionic power is full and player gets more bionic power from somewhere (Joint Torsion Ratchet CBM for example) then the inserted battery is charged (if it is rechargeable).
Comparison to Battery System CBM
This bionic strongly overlaps with the Battery System CBM and would most likely replace it completely.
In my opinion this system would be much more intuitive than the "eat" battery system currently used. You can see the inserted battery status in your inventory and swap it from there. It would also extend the usefulness of the CBM since it now can expand the power capacity and recharge batteries.
For user the only downsides are that larger batteries can't be used anymore and that the battery is not drained instantly and needs to be kept in the bionic.
Big battery usage could be moved to cable charger where the battery would need to be carried around.
Other uses
Similar clothes added by CBM can be used by other bionics that benefit from some interactivity that is normally available in items. For example it can hold "ammo" or "fuel" for the bionic to use. Fuel cell CBM is obvious candidate for this.
It could also be used for armor bionics.
