Notes

This latest release is the official release v6.1 and includes following features and bugfixes (some of them already included in previous unofficial version WP3a-wrpc_fixes-38-g9ec04830):

  • [new] display information about GrandMaster in wr_mon (#284)
  • [new] informing about unrecognized SFP in wr_mon (#275)
  • [new] disable/change verbosity level of the errors "VLAN configuration: (/wr/bin/wrsw_rtud): Read learning queue: error -1" (#273)
  • [new] improved reporting of offset between NTP and WR time via SNMP (#268)
  • [new] small fixes in web interface (#242, it is still not recommended to use web interface due to not fixed security issues, more on #266)
  • [new] check interval is selected to 'hours' for monitoring system clock (#252)
  • [new] support of disabling SFP’s TX laser with wrs_sfp_dump (#251)
  • CONFIG_PORTxx_INST01_T24P_TRANS_POINT required also on ports without instance (#233)
  • fixes in handling of SFP’s diagnostics (if SFP diagnostic is used with firmware v6.0.x it can corrupt SFP’s eeprom!)
  • detection whether a switch is a low-jitter version (displayed in wrs_version, SNMP and web interface), and fix to leap-seconds.list update (#241)
  • addition of a subset of IP-MIB, BRIDGE-MIB and QBRIDGE-MIB objects to SNMP support (#218, #220)
  • implementation of sysObjectID OID value to reflect WRS manufacturer and HW version (#221)
  • implementation of radius-802.1X for MAC authentication (subset of IEEE 802.1X, #217)
  • support of LLDP with VLANs (#28)
