Code contributions are welcome as GitHub pull requests, however they must meet some conditions:
- Change must adhere to general project goals outlined earlier.
- Source code must pass a review from JK2MV maintainer.
- Source code must be published under GPL2 licence.
When in doubt, it is best to ask JK2MV developers directly if your idea has a chance of being accepted.
NOTE: This is a quick port from JKA EternalJK Vulkan renderer.
Basicly a JKA renderer in JK2, with artifacts and missing features.
Its a "base" for more in depth porting of JK2 features and differences later.
Support Initially started by porting to Quake-III-Arena-Kenny-Edition.
After that, I found vkQuake3, hence the file structure.
Lastly, I stumbled across Quake3e.
Which is highly maintained, and is packed with many additions compared to the other repositories.
Therefore the vulkan renderer is now based on Quake3e.
A list of the additions can be found on here.
Many thanks to all the contributors that worked & are still working hard on improving the Q3 engine!
