MDAnalysis theme colours

MDAnalysis theme

MDAnalysis uses a modified version of the ReadTheDocs theme for its documentation. On docs where we have build and maintain multiple versions, we use the msmb_theme.

On repositories where docs are built with Sphinx, these modifications are typically defined in _static/custom.css.

Colours

The theme uses these colours:

• MDAnalysis orange: #FF9200
• MDAnalysis grey: #808080
• MDAnalysis white: #FFFFFF
• MDAnalysis black: #000000

For specific elements in the theme:

• Light orange (used as background for note etc boxes): #FFEBD0
• Orange in code-highlighting: #CA6500
• Dark grey used in ReadTheDocs sidebar: #343131
• Very light grey (RTD background): #FCFCFC

Admonition boxes

These are the "Warning", "Note", "See also" boxes created in the docs.
