You can log into the workstations physically, or remotely via ssh/x2go/nomachine. Note that nomachine locks out other users (except via ssh). When outside the BIC, you may need to first need to login to McGill's VPN and can then login to one of the lab computers. Login addresses are [USER]@[NAME].bic-wks.mni.mcgill.ca (for example, [email protected])
For cluster jobs, all computers are also part of mica.q so you can run distributed jobs on the threads offered by the workstations.
Network-disk space is on /data/mica{1|2|3}/. These disks should be used for R+W when running things through all.q
- /data/mica1/ 5TB -- generally for software that is shared across the lab
- /data/mica2/ 15TB -- generally deprecated now
- /data/mica3/ 43TB -- generally for clean raw+preprocessed BIDS data (please do not write to here unless your pipeline is finalized and you wish to share it, use a local RAID instead)
