This repository contains various benchmark programs for LEMON 1.x. They are groupped thematically into the following directories. graphs -- Digraph Building & Iteration Tests -------------------------------------------- The 'graphs' directory contains a benchmark program (graph_benchmark) for directed graph structures. It builds a random digraph of given size and iterates over the nodes, the arcs, and the outgoing and incoming arcs of each node using ListDigraph, SmartDigraph and StaticDigraph structures. graph_results.txt contains benchmark results performed on lime.cs.elte.hu with gcc 4.1.0 and -O2 optimization. heaps -- Heap Tests ------------------- The 'heaps' directory contains four benchmark programs for the heap structures implemented in LEMON. * heap_dijkstra_dimacs_benchmark Benchmark Dijkstra algorithm on DIMACS shortest path (sp) or min cost flow (min) files using different heaps. * heap_dijkstra_lgf_benchmark Benchmark Dijkstra algorithm on LGF files using different heaps. * heap_dijkstra_worst_benchmark Benchmark Dijkstra algorithm on dense "worst case" graphs (i.e. for which a decrease() operation is needed for almost all arcs). * heap_sort_benchmark Benchmark heap sort (i.e. call push() and pop() for all items in a vector) using different heaps. heap_results.txt contains benchmark results performed on lime.cs.elte.hu with gcc 4.1.0 and -O2 optimization. libraries -- Libraries Benchmark Tests -------------------------------------- The 'libraries' directory contains several programs for making benchmark tests of fundamental algorithm implementations of the graph libraries LEMON, BGL and LEDA. * dijkstra_benchmark - Dijkstra * maxflow_benchmark - maximum flow (Preflow) * mincostflow_benchmark - minimum cost flow (CostScaling, NetworkSimplex) All these three programs read a file of DIMACS min cost flow format from the standard input and run the corresponding algorithm on it and print runing time data to the standard output. These programs are not included in the standard building process, because their compilation also requires the other two libraries. Morover, a few programs also require the extension of the LEMON library with LEMON-BGL and BGL-LEMON graph adaptors. Such an extension is realized in the libraries/adaptors.bundle file. For more information on the usage of these algorithms, see the benchmark_config.h file and the *.sh scripts. create_files.sh requires the NETGEN graph generator.
