- Contributors: Open to everyone regardless of participation in Race of Sloths before.
- Projects: List of eligible projects
- Submission Period: The competition will open for Pull Request (PR) submissions starting October 1, 2024 00:00 UTC.
- Submission Process: Pull Requests would be submitted automatically by tagging @race-of-sloths bot in any comment on GitHub
- Deadline: All PRs must be submitted no later than October 31, 2024, at 11:59 PM UTC.
- Scoring Deadline: The scoring process should be finalized no later than November 4, 2024 11:59 PM UTC.
- General Scoring: The scoring mechanism follows the established Sloth Points (SP) system
- Streak Bonuses: Streaks will be rewarded with additional SP, enhancing a participant's final score. Previous Streaks achievements continue working in RoSctober
- Hall of Fame: Lifetime bonuses boost your Sloth Points during the RoSctober Race.
- Prize Pool: 10000 USDC
- Prize Eligibility: Participants who accumulate at least 100 SP during the RoSctober Race will qualify to claim a prize.
- KYC Requirement: To claim the prize, winners must complete a KYC verification.
- Prize Currency: All winnings will be distributed in NEAR USDC.
- Prize Claim Period: Until December 4, 2024 all winners must claim their prize. Unclaimed prizes would not be available for claims and will be transferred to the next contest pool.
- Legal Restrictions: Individuals who are residents of a country, state, province, or territory where Swiss law or local law prohibits participating or receiving a Prize in the Hackathon (Including but not limited to: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and the following regions of Ukraine: Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk) or an entity or person restricted by the United States and Swiss law export controls and sanctions will not be able to claim any prize in the Race.
- Compliance with Local Laws: Participants are responsible for complying with the laws of their country regarding competitions and cryptocurrency winnings.
- Amendments: The organizers reserve the right to modify the rules and conditions of the competition at any time, with appropriate notification to participants.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from the competition will be handled in accordance with the guidelines provided by the organizers.
