Has there been any word on whether or not this will be merged? It's definitely something that I would love to have, both for non-critical private repos, and for giving AI powered git commits a proper trial run, eg. to see how good (or bad) it actually is in the long run, if you simply allow it to control all commit messages with no manual intervention.

This is a very useful, two people already worked on it and both are well implemented, I talked about this on #216, and there is another PR ready to be reviewed #249

I've made a version of this repo that also includes the abiity to set a config to auto-confirm=true, among other stuff, as
this repo seems to be abandoned, which i completly respect.
