- Eileen reported back on the team work day on Friday, Nov-17. See this link for notes.
- We discussed the ongoing Documentation Overhaul.
- For open issues re. documentation See https://github.com/SFDO-Community-Sprints/DataGenerationToolkit/labels/documentation and https://github.com/SFDO-Community-Sprints/Snowfakery-Recipe-Templates/labels/documentation .
- We reviewed how to contribute suggested edits to a GitHub branch.
- Reminder about the structure:
- Documentation intended for users of Snowfakery recipes, from beginner on up, shall be written in Markdown (MD) format, stored in the Github repo, and made publicly available as Github Pages. This is consistent with the direction of other projects in the Commons.
- Documentation intended for the project team and other project contributors, shall remain in the Wiki.
- Any topics that pertain to both of the above, shall be detailed in the Github Pages; where appropriate, the Wiki can refer by linking to the relevant Page.
- Develop new recipes for the Nonprofit Cloud data model https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.nonprofit_cloud.meta/nonprofit_cloud/npc_data_model.htm
- Develop new recipes for Education Cloud
- Eileen will ask Cori if we can get a Salesforce employee to give a presentation to our team, something like "Quick start to the NPC data model" so we can jumpstart working on the above goals.
- Jay noted that for orgs with P10 license, can request free Data Cloud, which also give you access to using Tableau.
- Some discussion about moving towards DevOps. Paul suggested following Jason Lantz updates on making this more widespread in the nonprofit world. (I think that would be here in this blog https://muselab.com/bench-notes)
- Is there a way to find out in GitHub how many times the Snowfakery Recipes repository has been downloaded? (As a way to give us an idea on how many people are using these recipe templates.)
- Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Jan-3 at 2PM ET / 11AM PT, and likewise every first Wednesday of the month.this link
