.Net app to push MQTT sensor data from Bambu Lab 3D printer to OBS for video streaming.
Improvements have been made in this fork to make the app more streamlined, reliable, and configurable without needing experience in .NET programming.
General improvements
- OBS inputs will be created if not exists
- Additional controls for OBS stream ownership
- Switched to an FTP library that should be cross-platform. (Doesn't rely on WinSCP.exe)
- General code cleanup, refactoring, and updating to modern .NET practices
- Adding publishing of ready-to-use binaries for end-users, with more prescriptive instructions
I also had to fork obs-websocket-dotnet to fix/workaround some annoying issues & behavior. This project has a submodule reference to my fork of it.
Instructions for streaming the Bambu webcam with OBS are here: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/virtual-camera. Before you run this app, you should have the Bambu Studio software and OBS Studio installed and running.
You will need your Bambu printer's:
- Local IP address

...to connect to its MQTT endpoint. All of this can be found on the printer's LCD screen. The password and IP address can be found in the WiFi settings, and the serial number can be found in the printer's information page.
- Download the latest release from the Releases page.
- Extract the zip file to a folder on your computer.
- Open the
appsettings.json
file in a text editor. - Replace all values with
<brackets>
in theBambuSettings
andObsSettings
sections with the appropriate values.- NOTE: The
ObsSettings:PathToSDP
