Hey Matilda, thank you for your review! I was curious about the reviewing process, but, of course, we lost one day this week because of påsk, so things can be a bit delayed.

To be frank, I found myself to be puzzled by the purpose of this assignment. Is this project just for practicing following the UI/UX design, or are we meant to craft a personal portfolio website that reflects our identities as job seekers?

  • If it's the former, could the instructions and the requirements be more specific on which exact UI/UX design principles to follow? It'd be great to have clearer guidelines, so we students can practice them with a better understanding, rather than having a vague idea that "it is made by an experienced designer and a recruiter". Surly, that might not be the main focus for this web development boot camp, since you have another UI/UX design boot camp. But it could still be valuable knowledge for us front-end developers. For instance, I found the resource page you linked me very useful and not too long to follow. It can be a good material for a stretch goal for the ones who are interested.

  • If it's the latter, I wonder if a personal portfolio website is the best fit for practicing the instructions and requirements. It could be less practical to have the same layout, considering we all come from different backgrounds and want to make a unique impression as job seekers. Since we almost have a design template to follow for each assignment we got before, there could be opportunities to follow the design strictly. I'm also curious why we didn't receive guidance and feedback earlier, like the accessibility checks we're supposed to do with Lighthouse.

Those are all my personal opinions as a student. :)

Thank you for your reminder! I wasn't prepared for the design discussion within this development boot camp, which led to my oversight of the introduction. I believe you've designed the study flow with a lot of effort and a well-considered purpose. I enjoyed the study and put good effort into each assignment to make the most out of this course. Really appreciate your understanding of my exploration of the assignment and your time in reviewing it🧡Will improve the responsiveness asap
