Unusually shaped elements teleport away (and cause other bugs) when I try to place them in a rule

also for some reason i lose my last paddle so i cant make new paddles, and the more i try to place it in the rules, the less symbols i have (circles, triangles, etc...)

found a simpler setup

yellow is one element in the combined one, so it's like this:
get 2 colors and make a mini element out of them (here it is cyan and magenta)
take another color and add it above or below
drag it into the end of a rule
bug has happened

Think that happens when there is an error in updating the rules.
The setup looks like another multi-square in a multi-square issue (#163)
