4. Adding RGB LED's

Step 5. Soldering the per key RGB LED's.

The RGB LED's are recommended to be soldered from the backside of the PCB with the PCB laying flat on a flat table surface with the LED pointing down.

If using the standard 1.6mm PCB thickness the LED's are of the same thickness, and placed inside the cut-out, the solder pads on the LED and PCB should be very close to level with each other. Pay close attention to orientation!

The square marking identifies pin 1 (GND/VSS), and on the front side of the LED body the triangle marking on one corner identifies pin 4 (VCC/VDD). These pins are at opposite sides! Place the LED with the front down and the triangle facing away from the square marking.
