4. Adding RGB LED's

Step 5. Soldering the per key RGB LED's.

The RGB LED's are soldered from the backside of the PCB with the PCB laying flat on a flat table surface with the LED lens facing down.

If using the standard 1.6mm PCB thickness the LED's are of the same thickness, and placed inside the cut-out, the solder pads on the LED and PCB should be very close to level with each other. Pay close attention to orientation!

The per key and under-glow RGB LED's form one continuous data line, leaving the under-glow LED's unsoldered means that only the first LED will light up! Also an incomplete solder on a LED means that the following LED's starting from the top down on the PCB will not work.
