• Friday March 7th (week 10)
• Friday May 16th 9:00-12:00 (week 20) (due to UU IT department celebration in the afternoon)
• Friday Sep 5th (week 36)
• Friday 14 Nov (week 46)

Prerequisites

Still preliminary: to be decided/improved by vote

• Be able to login to your cluster's remote desktop environment, using either a website or a local ThinLinc client
• Be able to login using an SSH client
• Be able to navigate the filesystem under Linux

Learning outcomes:

• log in to their center
  • Remote desktop environment using website (for example, as shown in this UPPMAX page)
  • Remote desktop environment using local ThinLinc (for example, as shown in this UPPMAX page)
• have practiced using their center's documentation
• transfer files to/from center using FileZilla (for example, as shown in this UPPMAX page)
• transfer files to/from center using rsync (for example, as shown in this UPPMAX page)
  • install a terminal if needed, e.g. MobaXterm
