Ship’s Helm

A ship helm is the main brain and control system for your ship. Sneak right click to open the GUI where you can assemble/disassemble your ship, align it, and [summon gus] Ship controls can be seen in the options menu, but by default are WASD + V/Space for down and up. A ship helm will try and keep your ship level, but it's not perfect. Make sure your ship is balanced. The controls are relative to the direction of the helm itself, i.e. if your ship is pitched up, forward can make you pitch up.

The config has a number of options for you to fine tune how you want you or your players to control their ship.

Balloon

This block allows your ship to be ascend. Add more balloons to have more lifting power.

The config has an option for the amount of mass a balloon can lift.

Floater

Floaters will add buoyancy to your ship. Too many of them and your ship could end up too light. Floaters also have redstone control. You can turn it off completely with a signal of 15, or use lower signals to fine tune their power.

Ballast

Ballasts are like the opposite of floaters. They weigh your ship down, and lighten up when redstone is applied.

Ballasts can have their on masses and off masses configured individually.

Engine

This block can be placed and fueled to increase a ship’s speed. Engines retain heat as they burn through fuel, and this heat will keep your ship moving fast.

Anchor

The anchor holds a ship in place when powered.
