ECC-API

A lightweight API with endpoints for doing operations using the bn256 elliptic curve.

Installation

  1. Install go 1.10+ (Ubuntu):
wget https://storage.googleapis.com/golang/go1.10.3.linux-amd64.tar.gz
tar -xf go1.10.3.linux-amd64.tar.gz
sudo cp -r go/ /usr/local/
rm -rf go/ go1.10.3.linux-amd64.tar.gz
echo "export GOROOT=/usr/local/go" >> ~/.bashrc
echo "export GOPATH=$HOME/projects/go" >> ~/.bashrc
echo "PATH=\$PATH:/usr/local/go/bin" >> ~/.bashrc
export GOROOT=/usr/local/go
export GOPATH=$HOME/projects/go
export PATH=$GOPATH/bin:$GOROOT/bin:$PATH
  1. Make sure your GOPATH environment variable is pointing to an appropriate location
  2. Get the repo along with its dependencies: go get -d -u github.com/rynobey/ECC-API
  3. Compile by browsing to $GOPATH/src/github.com/rynobey/ECC-API and running go build

Examples of how to interact with this API in different languages

Here are some examples of how you could interact with a subset of the available routes of this API:

  1. Node.js: https://github.com/coeniebeyers/nodeEcApi
  2. Python 2 & 3: https://github.com/coeniebeyers/pythonEcApi
  3. Java: https://github.com/coeniebeyers/javaEcApi

One could also interact with all of these routes by doing syscalls using, for example, the curl examples shown below for each route.

Running and testing

  1. Start the API server by browsing to $GOPATH/src/github.com/rynobey/ECC-API and running ./ECC-API. The server runs on port 8083.
  2. Once the API server is started, test it by running GOCACHE=off go test -v . (while in $GOPATH/src/github.com/rynobey/ECC-API)

Routes

These are the available routes:
