This release updates clang to 17.0.1 and drops nlohmann_json runtime Nix dependency, but the biggest change is improved reproducibility.
NixOS Nix, stage3 bootstrap-from-tcc Nix and ZilchOS Nix will all build you the same

This release is the first self-hosting release. Executing nix build github:ZilchOS/core/2023.09.2 inside a VM started as qemu-system-x86_64 -machine q35,accel=kvm -cpu host -smp 16 -m 32G -cdrom ZilchOS-core-live-cd-2023.09.2.iso should produce you the very same

you can get by building this flake with either your Nix or bootstrap-from-tcc's Nix during stage5.

Not much has changed since the last version, mostly package version updates.

bootstrap-from-tcc now builds ZilchOS/core in its final stage 5, resulting in the same

"Release early, release often", they say. Not only this is something that boots, you can even interact with it. Nix package manager is not yet present in the image, so at this point it is a barebones Linux distribution built with Nix, but not shipping Nix yet.

Rather limited reproducibility testing has been conducted.
