• Google scholar button - can let you quickly get the bibtex for a paper.

• Panoply A nice tool from NASA for plotting and animating netcdfs from a point and click setup.

• ncview A quick tool for viewing netcdfs from command line. Unfortunately terrible colormaps. Very quick.
