All applicants:
- Auth
- Provide email address
- Fill out application
- Submit application
- Get response
Accepted applicants:
- Receive email notifying of acceptance
- Confirm attendance + pay $
- See details about the conference
If accepted applicant doesn't confirm their spot within X days, they are moved to some other state, and someone else is accepted
Rejected applicants:
- Get an email from us
Waitlisted applicants:
- Get an email from us
- Open applications
- We get an email when applications are submitted
- Close applications
- Discuss applications / figure out who's coming
- Accept initial batch of applicants
- Wait X days
- Accept more applicants to fill in the spots that were left unclaimed

Double Union has different levels of membership, but all have access to the applications. We don't want that. We basically want to have a voting member + admin user (organizers) and applicants, who have many fewer privileges than members.
