Application flow

All applicants:

  • Auth
  • Provide email address
  • Fill out application
  • Submit application
  • Get response

Accepted applicants:

  • Receive email notifying of acceptance
  • Confirm attendance + pay $
  • See details about the conference

If accepted applicant doesn't confirm their spot within X days, they are moved to some other state, and someone else is accepted

Rejected applicants:

  • Get an email from us

Waitlisted applicants:

  • Get an email from us

Organizer Flow

  • Open applications
  • We get an email when applications are submitted
  • Close applications
  • Discuss applications / figure out who's coming
  • Accept initial batch of applicants
  • Wait X days
  • Accept more applicants to fill in the spots that were left unclaimed
  • ~~something to do with waitlists??~~

User Types

Double Union has different levels of membership, but all have access to the applications. We don't want that. We basically want to have a voting member + admin user (organizers) and applicants, who have many fewer privileges than members.
