Home Assistant integration for The Things Network

This adapter is a replacement for the official TTN integration

DEPRECATION

This integration has been merged in HA 2024.6 so it is not longer needed. The TTN integration documentation is updated.

Currently HA does not have all the functionality of this custom integration:

• no binary sensors
• no location sensors
• no support to bulk rename the sensors in the integration menu

If you relay on these please keep using the custom integration until these features are also available in the official HA integration but please acoid reporting bugs about warnings as these have been fixed in HA and I do not plan to back-port them here.

As soon all features have been merged at home-assistant/core#112491 i will archieve this repository.

Differences compared to the official integration

1. Support TTN v3. v2 support has been removed
2. Supports setup from the UI
3. Devices and channels can be renamed using the adapter extra settings
4. Can be installed/updated with HACS - add as extra repository

How to install

1. Enable persistent storage in TTN
2. Install the TTN adapter in HA
3. Configure adapter in HA: Configuration → Device and Settings → Add Integration → Search for The Things Network
