Chocolatey does not allow the installation of applications in the standard system path (%PROGRAMFILES%), except for the paid version, but installs the applications within the user profile. About the management of the repository, if desired, it is also possible to set up your own repository (more info here) |
@danfossi this is wrong. You simply need admin permissions to do so. |
@nodiscc 3361 packages on Chocolatey, but only 615 on RuckZuck. Not sure that this is awesome enough. |
A discussion was started in #357 to determine what should/should not be added to the list ("quality" guidelines). Your feedback is welcome. |

Hi @danfossi, since #459 we have new contribution guidelines in place, could you please take some time to answer the following questions as best you can? Thanks
- Why is it awesome?
- Have you used it? For how long?
- Is this in a personal or professional setup?
- How many devices/users/services/... do you manage with it?
- Biggest pros/cons compared to other solutions?

Select a software from the repository and RuckZuck handles the download and installation for you. RuckZuck can detect and update existing software that was not installed with RuckZuck.
