Cities have sufficient population density to enable us to call subject-matter interest groups into face to face meetings, regularly and often. Seeing the participants have the time to spare to come to a meeting, we assume they also can afford the time to focus a few hours on teamwork (like homework) after the event. Teamwork is an essential part of a step by step growth process, which appears in many diverse fields. Teamwork brings one out of the "too much in your head" problem, and can assist in giving birth to new ideas (or habits) that stand up to the light of eyeballs shining on them. Academicians, startups, and psychotherapy patients all produce generally more balanced and more robust progress when teamed and when their results get presented in a community of supportive critical participants. Teaming-up is good for many others too, across a broad spectrum.
