Things to validate:

• In SURF Templates <@region> elements provide a scope attribute. My understanding from here is that this scope really defines where the configuration for the region is located. In theory we could have config defined globally, in the template and in the page and then use the scope attribute to decide which configuration to use.
• Need to clearly grok and write up SURF Widgets and Aikau Widgets.
• More generally need to clearly show what of the original SURF system is "superseded" by Aikau.
