Hmmm, I don't really like the blue since it's the only blue thing out of an entirely red site. The reason reddit can do both red/orange and blue is they have blue in other parts of their site. |

I had a feeling you'd say something like that. It does feel a little out of place—but so does red for downvotes. Maybe only because I'm used to reddit? |

Black (0,0,0) just doesn't stand out enough compared to the default grey to make it seem like you voted at all |

Color was chosen semi randomly from vscode color picker; feel free to change. Might need to be a bit bolder.
