Introduction

Our project is not the first forum/social media platform about the NBA obviously. There are many successful or unsuccesful projects dedicated to this topic. In this page, we are going to explore similar webpages to our project and comment about their upsides and downsides compared to what we are planning to create.

Comments in this part are not directed to any of the pages, they are just general observations and comparisons.

Upsides of our Plan

• We are planning to make unregistered users able to use the search property which some of these pages lack.
• We are planning to create pages which contain quick information about the teams and players which can be used as links in post which is lacked by most of the pages.
• Most of the pages have old-fashioned user interfaces. This problem is very obivous in the websites that have the forum just as a extra property. We are planning to create modern and fine-looking user interface.

Downsides of our Plan

• Most of the pages have some other features like blog pages, news, live statistics or forums for different sports.
• Some of the pages have discussion topics which people can talk about besides their main forums.
• Most of the pages have advanced search property which makes finding specific entries easier.
