Our creators consist of two large cohorts: Those who want to make $ off contributions, and those who want to drive referrals. As a result, our emails should be thought out in a way to not spam either group.

  • Send test email to PR, engineering, design, and product. Get approval before sending.

Marketing Emails

Who gets emailed

  • Everyone in publishers except for those unsubscribed

What constitutes a Marketing email?

  • Promotions
  • New features
  • Advertises or promotes a commercial product or service, including content on a website operated for a commercial purpose.

When must we send a marketing@ email?

  • Never. Marketing emails should be based on judgement call

When should we send a marketing@ email?

  • New features that we think most of our publishers will utilize
  • Promotions that we think most of our publishers will utilize
