Could you please describe why do you want to do this?

Every time I need to use this feature I have to pull it out... I needed to
do use this many times on different plugins on my embedded devices
projects, and it would be very useful for everyone else if they need a way
to transport data to c9 on a socket on the workspace level. Or even between
different c9 Windows loaded.
