Please provide details to support justification for the doubling of the memory. This has a significant negative impact on smaller devices that are intending to integrate Caliptra 2.0
In 1.2, the firmware has already hit the ROM and runtime limits for ICCM, and it's close for DCCM.
We cannot support the set of features planned for 2.0 (post-quantum support, new mailbox commands, etc.) and the existing features without increasing sizes for ICCM and ROM. The larger sizes for keys and certificates, as well as moving the data vault into DCCM, similarly require increasing DCCM.
If we don't have the new features and post-quantum support, then there is no Caliptra 2.0 to speak of.
Request from firmware team:
ROM - 96KiB
ICCM/DCCM - 256KiB
Mailbox - 256KiB
@vmhatre to confirm.
