According to English phonology, "Z M" seems not to be a valid coda.

In Cambridge, Oxford and Longman dictionaries, those words endswith "sm" have pronunciations endswith "zəm". Even in CMU dict it self, there are many words endswith "sm" have a pronunciation endswith "Z AH0 M". While some words endswith "sm" have a pronunciation endswith "Z M". Therefore it can be considered that "Z M" should be "Z AH0 M" for words endswith "sm".

For "esme", Oxford gives 2 pronunciations "ˈezmi" and "ˈezmeɪ", so it can be inferred that "cosme" should have two similar pronunciations.
