Uses xdotool

How to:

1. Give the file executable permissions
2. Set pauseOnLostFocus to false in ~/.minecraft/options.txt or open Minecraft and disable it in game (F3 + P).
3. Launch Minecraft
4. When you're ready, run the script.
5. Stop by right clicking in Minecraft window.
