ExportJournal

A mod for The Long Dark (2.06+) which allows the player to export the journal data of the active save game.

Requires ModSettings by zeobviouslyfakeacc

• Choose which elements of the journal to export.
  • (Daily Log, Skills, Collections, Rock Caches, General Notes, Stats)
• Select what format to export in.
  • (Text, Json - open to suggestions for formats to add)
• Export the journal on character death.
• Add a timestamp prefix to output files to keep historic exports per save.
  • (e.g. 20230101_1630_)

Instructions

To export your journal simply click the "Export" button in the bottom left corner of the journal screen.

Files are written out to \Mods\ExportJournal\SaveSlotName-UserDefinedName\

Checkout the Examples folder to see an example set of output files.

Installation

1. If you haven't done so already, install MelonLoader by downloading and running MelonLoader.Installer.exe
2. Install the latest version of ModSettings.
3. Download the latest version of ExportJournal.dll from the releases page
4. Move ExportJournal.dll into the Mods folder in your TLD install directory
