When SitecoreMongo.config is enabled, the website will show content from nosqlmongoweb. You can confirm this by editing content in this database using a tool like UMongo. Note it will be necessary to clear the item cache using /sitecore/admin/cache.aspx to see the new results.
To publish to the Mongo Web database (known as "nosqlmongoweb" in Sitecore, and "web" inside Mongo), you need to define it as a publishing target. (/sitecore/settings/publishing targets).
