This repository has been archived by the owner on Nov 11, 2023. It is now read-only.
It is currently unclear which of our previous and future template files should be added to this repository. There are many possibilities still open as to how the repository will be structured and what kind of files should be allowed to be contained therein.
There has been a silent agreement to not to include bitmap files and plain SVGs, and to thus try to treat the repository as one would a repository for software code.
However, what if there were to be included e.g. animation files from Blender or other software, other than Inkscape? How would we deal with their "binaries," then? Animation files could be appropriate if we were to have intro animations or similar in future.
How much should this repository serve more as documentation for our design guidelines vs. how many assets should it include? Should some be placed in other repositories like a hypothetical design_animation?
Is a docs directory appropriate, or should all documentation be handled by this project's Github Wiki?
Then there are questions of accessibility: how much should the user be expected to investigate and manipulate the original Inkscape sources vs. how much should they be expected to generate bitmaps etc. through the console?
These specific Questions and other questions like this should be considered and evaluated before continuing to work exhaustively on any other concrete problems, because these questions here would inform the overall design and purpose of this repository and what its needs and requirements are.
