I was also trying to add this feature. Gemini python client had native support for pdf, image etc (https://github.com/googleapis/python-genai). Don't see it being available for node at present. So I think we have to rely on third party tools like done in this PR. |

Adding PDF upload support. While it is possible to scroll through a PDF on the screen and have Gemini read it when sharing the screen this can be tedious for longer docs. As an alternative I wanted to provide the functionality to upload PDFs and talk about the content with Gemini instantly.
