Cards to Copy

  1. Check to see if there are cards on the board by using this filter on the project board
    is:note
    
    if yes, do this section
  2. Create migration issue
  3. Add it to 2.01 in the Resources section of your issue
  4. Copy Cards
  5. Delete Cards

Multiple Boards Migration

  1. Add labels to repo that match board names
  2. Add labels to issues
  3. Define column names (all columns from all boards)
  4. Add column names to the board that will be migrated
  5. Migrate board with most open issues
  6. Move other open issue to the new board, mapping them to their columns
  7. Make a view for each of the former project boards
  8. Change automation temporarily to done, and move all closed issues to the new board, change back automation
  9. Delete the classic boards

Single Board Migration

  1. Migrate board
  2. After migrating the old board is closed, delete the classic board

Issues not on Board

  1. Go to issues tab and add all issues that are not on the new project board, to the board, in the new issue approval column

Customize (optional)

  1. Add role views

Close out Migration

  1. Make sure the new repo is linked to the new project board and the open roles board
  2. Make sure all old project boards are deleted
  3. Make sure there are no issues that are not on the project board
  4. Add the Migration issue to their board, in the in progress column.
  5. Check team's wiki to see if they have any remaining activities (such as updating their wiki)
    1. If no open activities, close the migration issue
    2. If yes open activities, add details to the action items or in a comment and move issue to questions column
