General methods for adding indicators based on vector analysis, network analysis, raster analysis and/or linkage

Our software produces a core set of indicators, however we have ambition to expand on these.
Doing this will require some abstraction of the current logic that was focused on calculating these core indicators for 25-city study.
A mechanism for doing this is described in the Bangkok liveability (or 'spatial urban indicators') software, which I was developing parallel to this project at its commencement (see section 3.3.3 p258 of this technical document, or here. In this framework there were three types of indicators: linkage, raster and accessibility indicators, that were defined in a configuration file and could then be generated drawing on those parameters.
We can adopt and improve on this logic, implementing some general methods for indicator typologies -- ie. based on vector analysis, network analysis, raster analysis and/or linkage.
