Update for compatibility with pyam v0.5

This release:

• refactors the notebooks for compatibility with pyam v0.5 (load_meta(), new signature of convert_unit())
• removes unused imports in notebooks
• adds info to readme and notebooks that the meta-indicators table can be downloaded via the IAMC 1.5°C Scenario Explorer
• changes the snapshot file in all notebooks to data release v2.0

Extend notebooks to include all panels in SR15 SPM3b and data tables in supplementary material

This release:

• extends the notebook that generates the indicator table in SR15 SPM3b with the stack-plot panels of contributions to global net CO2 emissions in the four illustrative pathways.
• adds two new notebooks that generate the data tables related to the IAMC 1.5C Scenario Explorer and Data in the recently released Supplementary Material (see https://ipcc.ch/sr15).
• updates pyam references to the new documentation on ReadTheDocs

IAMC 1.5°C Scenario data release 2.0 related to IPCC SRCCL

This release updates the data release notes and list of authors of the scenario ensemble corresponding to release 2.0 of the IAMC 1.5C Scenario Explorer and Data. The data release follows the approval and acceptance of the IPCC's SRCCL and includes additional timeseries related to prices of agricultural products.

Notebooks for the scenario assessment in the SR15 (formatting updates)

Summary

This release fixes a number of minor formatting issues and updates the assessment notebooks to reduce warning messages when running the notebooks with pyam release 0.2.0.

Overview

The notebooks included in this repository implement the categorisation of scenarios by climate impact and generate figures, tables, summary statistics, and assessment indicators used in the IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C (SR15).

This release implements a number of tricklebacks SR15 following the approval plenary in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

Scenario data update

All notebooks now use release 1.1 of the IAMC 1.5C Scenario Explorer and Data.

Notebooks for soft-launch (pre-release) of the SR15

Overview

The notebooks included in this repository implement the categorisation of scenarios by climate impact and generate figures, tables, summary statistics, and assessment indicators used in the IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C (SR15).

This release is related to the soft launch of the SR15 following the approval plenary in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

Tricklebacks and corrections

Due to changes of focus or groupings of scenarios in some assessments during the approval plenary of the IPCC, the SPM and chapters are still subject to minor changes and updates (i.e., tricklebacks) as well as correction of editorial errors until the final publication of the Special Report. For this reason, the outputs of notebooks included in this repository may deviate from the pre-release version of the SR15.

An updated version of the notebooks will be released following the publication of the final, copy-edited version of the SR15
