Some hot take opinions to make the header bar more clear: Need to have fewer options up top: I am happy to help divvy up the contents appropriately! Also, I do love exclamation points but I think we should take them out wherever possible for * serious software * vibes |
Yes thanks for this feedback! Whenever I write my first passes have too many exclamation points and then I have to go back through and tone it down so we don't come off completely unhinged. 😝 I will tone it down more lol. I was trying to figure out how to make the nav bar a little less cluttered. I think I've gotten down to what You're describing here but where do we put the customization info? |
Yes! looking better! More hot takes lol
|
Love these 🔥 hot takes. Keep em coming! Perfect! I'll go in this direction. |
Thanks for being open to it! I am trying to put my marketing hat on, and I'm picturing OTTR Web and OTTR Course as our 2 main products 🤩 So we want these to be front and center |
I was thinking of it more as OTTR Website is now the new default and OTTR Courses are the second choice. |
Any reason not to show that we can do both? They're both a way to publish if you think abt it. |
Better? Comments, @avahoffman ? |
While not perfect, I think this is a much needed improvement and the rest would be easier to do in tinier subsequent PRs. Gonna merge YOLO. |
I can see both of your thoughts on this. I agree that if we can make the website concept prominent but showcase the courses as a modality of the website options maybe that would work? |
It's happening! Working on making what OTTR has evolved into more clear and more centered on websites.
Websites are a more common use case then courses so let's show off those capabilities.
These changes need to be DRYed up a bit because the content is a bit redundant but this is a first pass.
