"The chaotic nature of the wild is inarguable, as is the position of
man under her, as the underdog in this turbulent world."

About

  • Underdog is the first Minecraft modpack that makes the game realistic in every possible way, from scratch.

Features

- Truly no magic
  • No unrealistic creatures can spawn. They are replaced with wild animals that fight back. And weather events.

(Yeah, but a good thing to note is that not all animals fight back. That depends on what animal it is. Some of the animals will just panic)

  • Unrealistic blocks/items are replaced (Using renaming/retexturing/changing recipe or remodelling) with something reasonable and realistic.

- Quests
  • There are various quests to guide you through the main mods and the main progression.

- In-Game guide book

All information about the main mechanics is possible to read in-game. In the survival guide book:

- Realistic world generation
  • Handpicked biome generation weights based on real-world percentages.
(This also means that no unrealistic biomes will generate. For example Mooshroom Island)

  • Stratification based on biomes.

  • The ore generation is totally overhauled.

  • Tectonic plates.

  • Underground water reservoirs.

  • New textures for rocks.

- Realistic atmosphere
  • The feel of the real world is highly recreated in this pack, with the use of various mods.

  • Seasons.

  • Temperature.

  • There is blowing wind, storms, cyclones...

- Gravity

- Custom Woodworking System (Chopping wood to firewood + using lumber in the recipes)
  • Instead of wooden planks block, you use lumber to craft things.
  • So all recipes containing planks now look like this:

- Custom Skills & GameStages/JourneyMapStages

- Seasons + Weather2 + DynamicSurroundings working together

Yeah! Just like you hear! It's possible, somehow.

And much more I just can't remember now... :O

Progression

After you get your first machine, you can start to automate things heavily.
