I know you love using lots of different fonts. But start from small.

  • TL; DR
    • PlemolJP Console NF
      • Pros
        • It covers both Japanese and Nerd fonts in one font.
        • 2:1 width for English and Japanese.
        • I like slashed zero style, and IBM plex series can enable it by using "editor.fontLigatures": "'zero'.
        • The based IBM Plex Mono and JP have gentle typeface for me.
      • Cons
        • It will not fit for web fonts. Especially Google Fonts does not distribute it.
  • How to find?
  • Favorite
    1. Inconsolata
    2. M PLUS 1 Code
    3. IBM Plex Mono
    4. IBM Plex JP
  • Common
    1. 源ノ角ゴシック Code JP # Most definitions, so useful for fallback
  • Terminal
    1. PlemolJP Console NFJ (It includes Japanese and https://www.nerdfonts.com/, it is useful because of Windows Terminal can not set multiple fonts)

In some fonts, "editor.fontLigatures": "'zero'" toggles the slashed zero or not. In IBM Plex family, it makes slashed zero. Inconsolata makes non slashed zero.
