If you are already familiar with UIMA components and how to plug them into ctakes, you can simply download the latest release, put it in CTAKES_HOME/lib, and get started. You can use the Collection Readers and Cas Consumers pages as a reference guide. Otherwise, you can learn by example over at the Examples page.
