The EMEP/MSC-W model version 5.0, based on the version used on the EMEP status reporting of the year 2023 - is released, together with a set of input data and a full year model results for the year 2015 under GPL license v3.
This release contains the following set of information:
- a complete set of 'input data' to allow for model runs for year 2015
- additional 'input data' for simulating pollen concentrations for year 2017
- the open source 'model code' of the EMEP/MSC-W model version 5.0
- 'model results' for the year 2015 for comparison of a successful run
- 'pollen concentrations' for the year 2017 for comparison of a successful run
Retrieve datasets using the catalog tool with:
catalog.py -R 5.0
Note that the meteorological files require almost 100 Gb. To retrieve other files, e.g. input data alone, see:

The EMEP/MSC-W model version used for the EMEP status reporting of the year 2016 - rv4.10 - is released, together with a set of input data and a full year model results for the year 2014,
under GPL license v3.
This release contains the following set of information:
- a complete set of 'input data' to allow for model runs for year 2014
- the open source 'model code' of the EMEP/MSC-W model version rv4_10
- 'model results' for the year 2014 for comparison of a successful run
Although all the aforementioned datasets can be retrieved directly from our
ftp server (ftp://ftp.met.no/projects/emep/OpenSource/201609/),
the preferred retrieval method is via the catalog tool:
catalog.py -R rv4_10
Evaluation model results included in this release can be found on the [AeroCom project site][aerocom] as experiment EMEP_rv4.10os_171006AV_RGEECCAopenNoFF.
