Hi,

I optimized some of the helper functions. In detail:

distance_between: The implementation used way too much trig functions and multiplications. It's now much cleaner and faster.
course_to: The function used the same result of a cosine twice
cardinal: So far it only handled positive angles. I added two revolutions to overcome this issue.
