The solution is a bit hacky but it seems to work even with rotated vendors.
One little smudge I found is that when the vendor has "force deactivate" set, the restoring process doesn't reflect that with the entity. I'm guessing this is something that might need to be addressed in [fancy_vend].
It's so minor and easy to work-around, (double click the checkmark in the vendor's settings), that I feel comfortable merging this and addressing it when users actualy notice and complain.
